‘Multiple Injuries’ the Official Cause of Patrick Morris’s Death

TELLURIDE – After the completion of an autopsy, the official cause of death of Ridgway/Telluride resident Patrick Morris was the “multiple injuries” he sustained when he was run over by a Home Safe van early on the morning of Jan. 15.

San Miguel County Coroner Emil Sante said Morris, 52, was found to have a large amount of free blood in his abdomen and that the manner of death is accidental.

For unknown reasons – perhaps as a prank – Morris laid in front of the van early that morning. According to Sante, Morris’s blood alcohol level was roughly three times the legal limit.
