Come meet and hear Peter Wheelan, the Telluride Venture Accelerator’s first entrepreneur-in-residence. Peter has been involved in a number of successful companies, and he is about to join his next company as CEO. He will share his thoughts on what consumer trends are in demand right now, what companies are getting funding, and why.

 About Peter Wheelan (former COO and CRO, blurb.com): Pete has been an executive in the travel and publishing industries for nearly fifteen years. Most recently, he was COO and chief revenue officer at Blurb, Inc., a ground-breaking creative publishing platform. (names Inc 500 as #1 fastest growing media company in 2012, & Top 100 Up and Coming private companies by Goldman in 2012). Previously, Pete held the position of senior vice president, strategic marketing and business development, for Lonely Planet Publications (acquired by BBC). In the late 1990s, Pete was co-founder and CEO of AdventureSeek, and online portal for adventure travel (acquired by the Unexplored Travel Network). He was also a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. He has a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA form Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a JD from Northwestern Law School. Pete lives in Mill Valley, CA.
