Description:
For graduates of the Lindy Beginning series or for experienced swing dancers! No partner necessary! This is the true 8-count savoy style Lindy Hop that builds on the 6-count steps and techniques presented in the beginning series, starting with the Lindy Circle, swing out and basic 8-count patterns. The fun of Lindy Hop REALLY comes alive at the intermediate level and you'll have so much fun discovering the intricacies of this dance. All other forms of swing (East Coast, West Coast, Jitterbug, Jive) came from the steps you'll get from this class! Lindy can be danced to fast or slow tempos and to a wide variety of musical styles. For the purposes of this class we'll be using slow-med tempos and experiment with the quicker stuff later on. Continues in Lindy Intermediate B next month! Taught by Chris & Wendy Shima, Lindy teachers for over 15 years!
