Description:

“Characters to Discuss” is the October theme of Raising Readers Storytime at the Cortez Public Library, located at 202 N. Park Street, Cortez, CO. Storytime is held every Thursday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for preschool-aged children. Older children are welcome to join in for the craft at 11:15 a.m. on Thursdays. The Saturday Storytime is held, weather permitting, at the Cortez Farmers Market on the corner of Elm and Main Streets. Both days of the week will follow the same theme. On Saturdays there will be no craft. "Dr. Seuss, One Rhyming Dude" is the subject on Thursday, October 4th and Saturday, October 6th. "Charlotte and Wilbur's Daddy -- E.B. White" will be discussed on Thurs., Oct. 11th and Sat., Oct. 13th. "Who is Fancy Nancy's Mama?" will be presented on Thurs., Oct. 18th and Sat., Oct. 20th. "Time for Witches!" will wrap up the month on Thurs., Oct. 25th and Sat., Oct. 27th. Raising Readers Storytime offers songs, stories, crafts and silliness and uses the Early Childhood Literacy Initiative program. For more information, contact the library at 970-565-8117.
